Hello and glad you are back for Week 2 of my solo adventures in Florida! As I continue to find new adventures and enjoy some old places, the #1 goal is to relax & have fun! So on to Week 2...
The week started off on Sunday going on an all-day City Tour of Orlando. It was long and hot, but it was a nice tour! We visited Winter Park, the train station and did a boat ride on lake Eola, afterwards we drove around hitting many sites in Orlando. Winter Park the city is gorgeous and one of the prettiest places I have been to. It is very clean and plenty of high-end restaurants and shopping places to spend your hard-earned loot at. š°
On Tuesday, I went to Seaworld Orlando. It was flooded with elementary and jr. high kids on a field trip! š±It was hot and very crowded, but I pressed on. My first stop was to get pics with the tower that welcomes you and then it was on to see the sealions, manatees, stingrays and great egrets. Next, it was on to see the dolphins. I even caught the dolphin show! What a treat this was!
Along the way, I stopped and tackled the Journey to Atlantis water coaster. It was so worth the long wait in line! Afterwards, I visited piguins in Antartica! This was by far the highlight of the day for me. Zero below... let's go! š§
On Thursday, it was a twofer! I first stopped at the Disney Dolphin Resort and then took a shuttle boat over to Walt Disney's Epcot. The Disney Dolphin Resort was nice. The beautiful floating glass chandelier, fountain and surroundings capture your heart ā¤ļøas soon as you enter the resort. Outdoors, the lake, sandy beach area and fountain are unique and memorable.
Disney World Epcot is divided into four parts; The World Showcasefeaturing countries around the globe and World Discovery where the rides are, World Celebration entrance and the huge dome that look like a giant golf ball and World Nature Kids play area and all things nature. There is another entrance in the back of the park that lead you to International Gateway which are the Countries around the world: China, Morrocco, France, Japan, The American Adventure, Italy, Germany Outpost, China and Norway.
The International Gateway is spectacular and so beautiful. I would start at the back of the park and work your way up to the front. Why? because, when people enter the park their first stops are the bathroom, tickets, wheelchairs and lockers, then they hit the rides. It is more crowded in the front of the park when it opens. After 1 pm, in my opinion, is the best time to tackle the rides. Unless you get to the park right when it opens, and you bypass the obvious stops and you have your tickets already. So let me take you around the world to International Gateway! š
Disclaimer *I did not take the first picture and do not own the rights to this photo; I borrowed from traveldigg.com* I forgot to get this shot when I arrived at the park. It is quite spectacular though! ā¤ļø
Well that was it for Week 2! See you next week for more adventures and activities.
