This past weekend it was Vel's turn to schedule our date day and boy did he pick a very cool place.
We have lived in Arizona since February 1997 and I didn't even know this place was here... He surprised me with a visit to see one of my two favorite things... a WATERFALL.🌊 (my other favorite things are Japanese Gardens).
In downtown Phoenix, there is a place call Arizona Falls. it is an energy plant that is owned by the Electric Company, SRP (Salt River Project). Originally it was a cascading waterfall in the late 1800's. SRP converted it in 1901 to canals and used the water to provide power to over 150 residents, but it also provides locals a very cool and unique place to visit, ride bikes and walk around. if u would like to visit Arizona Falls, it is located at: 5802 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85018.
