Hello again! We continue our day trips to another state park: Tonto Natural Bridge. We visited Tonto Natural Bridge State Park where we enjoyed hiking, waterfalls and the oldest and largest natural rock formation in the world. There are different trails you can take down to the creek where the bridge and large formation is, but on this particular day, the creek had too much water and we couldn't hike through it. So we couldn't get a close-up view of the stone formation.

What we really enjoyed were the waterfalls, the greenery and serenity. It was disappointing not to be able the hike the creek trail, but the park didn't disappoint, because there was plenty to see and do. If you decide to hike down to the waterfall where the moss is there are a whole lot of wooden steps that are steep, but it is worth the trek down and up! All in all, It was a very good day for hiking and a picnic lunch! Maybe one day we will go back and try to hike the creek. I would suggest you go in May before kids get out of school if you don't want to deal with summer heat & crowds! We went in early April it was a little chilly, but there was hardly anyone there!.
