Hello and I know it's been a while! My husband and I have been focusing on day trips in Arizona. This week has been very cold in Mesa, AZ. (way to cold); we are having low's of 30's. and have been for the last 2 months. But with cold temps, Mother nature brought us a rare gift... Arizona is a desert. We are used to cold mornings, but not freezing temps (in the Valley) and Hight heat in the summers (more like blistering 120*). We get all four seasons in some parts (Flagstaff and Northern Arizona). So usually if you want to see snow or see the leaves changing you go there.

But yesterday, the East Valley (suburbs of the Phoenix area) was treated to a rarity in these parts... SNOW! Tucson, Arizona got a lot! I live on the Mesa/Gilbert border. We got hail and a lot of rain... over 2-1/2 in. in less than 2 days! But we were excited to head a little further East (just 30 min.) to see a spectacular event that doesn't happen every year. Snow... on the Superstition Mountains!!! Yes, it was a glorious sight to see! So me and hubby grabbed out winter coats, gloves and hats (we are originally from Ohio) and headed East to get some awesome pics and see the snow covered mountains up close and personal... and that we did! We were so close that it was about 10* colder at the mountains, than the city. So we were down in the high teens. It was super cold... downright freezing, but it was so worth it!!! :) It took my body, a couple of hours to thaw out! Lol...

We rarely get rain and when we do, that is a treat! But snow... it's only happen a handful of times in the Valley and I've lived here since 1997! So I hope you guys enjoy the pictures of the snow covered, misty Superstition Mountains. I was using a camera phone... so my camera can't do these mountains justice! So Enjoy...

Here is a panoramic picture of the Superstition Mountains with snow taken on Feb. 22, 2019 (I got off the web).

Here is a pic of the Superstition Mountains I took back in January 2019!
