Hello...This month we celebrated my 50th Birthday in Canyonland & Arches National Parks. These two parks are very different, the only similarities are their red dirt and sandstone colors. Canyonlands is mostly flat, but has one impressive arch that we spotted, Mesa Arch. It is like looking through the eyes of its soul onto the vast canyons...which are very similar to The Grand Canyon. It was very windy the weekend we went, but we didn't let it stop us from hiking and exploring! Pictures doesn't do this place justice; you have to see it in person.

We were suppose to go for a hot air balloon ride in Canyonlands, something we have been trying to do a few times, but it was too windy. Best time to go is in the fall when the winds and weather are calmer. Oh well...next time for sure! So now that we have tackled Canyonland, it was off to the main attraction, Arches National Park!

We actually spent two days in Arches National Park...We hiked a lot and seen so many arches and sandstone formations. There are over 2500 documented arches in the park...we probably saw twenty or so! You need a week to really be able to take this park in. It was worth the wait and very good exercise!!!!
