Hello Everyone,
Well, this time I found myself looking for a quick get-a-way...so in March, me and my hubby were off to San Diego, California. This is one of my favorite places; not only, because it is just a short drive from Phoenix, AZ, but because I love the culture and being at the beach. We stayed at the beautiful Marriott Vacation Club Pulse San Diego Resort. We drove in from Phoenix, AZ and it is one gorgeous ride...The views are amazing!
Our first stop, Point Loma, California. Beautiful quaint fishing village, which features a stunning old lighthouse. We stopped there for a couple of hours to have lunch (seafood) and take in some of the spectacular ocean views and downtown San Diego. Point Loma is home to the Cabrillo National Monument commemorating the landing of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, who sailed his ship the San Salvador in to San Diego Bay in 1542, to become the first European to set foot in California.
We decided to go to Balboa Park...love all the flowers and plants; they make for great photography! Afterwards we took the trolley around the park. We also made a trip downtown and got to see a few places in person, before heading on our city tour.
Last, but not least we did a culinary tour in downtown. The food was really good and we got to take in some sites. It was a very relaxing get-a-way and as always, we enjoyed our stay in San Diego, California. On to the next adventure....
